MBC Prayer Week

"Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."  Matthew 18: 19

Malvern Baptist Church Prayer Mission

 Saturday 9th Mar  – Saturday 16th Mar 2019

Last year we held a prayer week, and we wish to build on this by holding another week with the twin aims of deepening our prayer life and seeking God’s vision for Malvern Baptist Church .  The vision is:

• Set aside the week of 8am Saturday  Mar 9th – 8am Sat Mar 16th  as a week of prayer. People volunteer to pray for one-hour slots throughout that week and record this on the sign–up sheet (in the lobby, by the lounge door).

• A Prayer Room will be equipped with many resources to stimulate prayer in Creative ways, (prayer stations, information sheets, refreshments. etc.)

• A key part of the Prayer Mission will be listening to God about what he is saying about our church and our local area.  This year we particularly want to seek God’s heart for his strategies on how we are to reach our community (or communities) for Christ.

• We will be holding a number of prayer events during this period including;

o Day of Prayer on Saturday Mar 9th 8am to 8pm. This is aimed at encouraging as many people from the church to take part throughout the day. Come for the whole day or drop in for part of the day

o Prayer meeting for Mission Vision at church Monday 11th  8.45-9.30am

o Prayer Walks around Malvern (times and dates to be decided with option to pray in lounge for those who would rather not walk)

To put this exciting vision into practice we need your help and involvement by committing yourself to pray.   Sign up for a few hours during the week to pray (and fast if you are able). More details are available on a handout sheet.

`My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’ Mark 11:17

`Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.’   1 Thess 5v16-17

Could you not keep watch for one hour?’ Mark 14v37b
