What’s On

As well as Sunday worship we have a variety of other activities.  House groups and Church Meetings are very important.  Sometimes we meet up with other churches in Malvern, in particular on Good Friday.

We also enjoy meeting together for lunch - there are eightl Church Lunches a year on Sundays and Tuesdays. From time to time we enjoy a social evening or concert together. We regularly have movie nights with a meal and a thought provoking film to discuss.

Alpha - Monday 8th July

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Each session includes cake and refreshment, a short talk and a discussion where you can share your thoughts.  There's no pressure, and no charge.

In conjunction with other churches, Malvern Baptist church will be hosting Alpha at Abbey Road Coffee Shop, 7.30pm-9.00pm Mondays 13 May -22nd July

(publicity at the back of the church under the Welcome board  or see Rev Dave Clarke).

Men’s Social Event  - Tuesday  9th July

You are invited to a Men’s Barbecue at the Manse, 6 Barrett Rise, WR14 2UJ  7.00pm Tuesday 9th July.  Food will be provided, but please let Dave know if you are coming or not and if you have any dietary requirements so we can organise catering.

MBC Ramble on the Hills - Wednesday 10th July

The next MBC Ramble on the Hills is on Wednesday 10th July  (start at 9.30am from Church), with lunch after at The Chase Inn. Let Jean know on 07941 623867 if you intend to come.

Coffee Stop - Wednesday 10th July

The church has a drop-in coffee morning on Weds 10am-12noon. This is open to church and community as an opportunity to meet and chat together. If anyone would like to help serve refreshments on an occasional or regular basis please let Sue Clarke know. Dave Clarke will also be available most weeks if anyone would like to speak to him during this time.

Middle Age is Murder - Friday 12th July

There will be a crime to solve with food to aid ‘zee little grey cells’ on Friday 12th July at 6.30 p.m. The murder is set in Casablanca (that’s in Morocco if you’re not sure) during the Vichy French regime and called “The Brie, the Bullet and the Black Cat”. Bad French accents will be “de rigueur” (though a bad Swiss accent may also be heard). Please see Steve or Alison Ayling for further information and to let us know if you are coming and if you want to play a part.

Many thanks, Miss Marple - (a.k.a. Alison).

The Douglas family - Sunday 14th July

The Douglas family, our BMS workers from Nepal, will be coming to Malvern on Sunday 14th July and joining us for afternoon tea at 5:30pm in the downstairs hall. Please come and join us and if you are able please stay for the evening service at which the Douglases will be talking about their work. There will be a signup sheet at the back of the church on Sunday 7th so we know how many people expect to attend and who can offer to bring some food.

Coffee and Craft - Thursday 18th July

Our next meeting for our C & C group is on the 18th July.  We look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it and we may have some new faces joining us.

Church Meeting - Thursday 25th July

Our next Church meeting will be on Thursday 25th July. A paper copy of the agenda and last minutes will be on the church notice board and a couple of copies will be put out on the lounge tables for those without a printer or the internet at home. As a congregational church we are governed by the church members not the minister or the deacons so this is your chance to get involved, express an opinion and vote
