What’s On

As well as Sunday worship we have a variety of other activities.  House groups and Church Meetings are very important.  Sometimes we meet up with other churches in Malvern, in particular on Good Friday.

We also enjoy meeting together for lunch - there are eight Church Lunches a year on Sundays and Tuesdays. From time to time we enjoy a social evening or concert together. We regularly have movie nights with a meal and a thought provoking film to discuss.

Church Text 2021

The church motto text for 2021 is: Jeremiah 6:16

“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths,

ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest

for your souls”

Our church building is now closed for congregational worship. So join us on Zoom, Sunday 10.30am

MBC Ramble on the Hills - Cancelled

The MBC Ramble on the Hills - Sadly, due to the latest lock-down measures, group walks will not be allowed. You can still walk with members of your own household and with one other person from one other household so make the most of any good weather to keep exercising and enjoying God’s wonderful creation. Take care on the Hills though at the moment as the higher paths are covered in sheet ice. We will let you know as soon as we can start group walks again.

Tuesday Lunches

The Tuesday lunches have also stopped for the time being.

Coffee Stop - Wednesday’s

The church drop-in coffee morning on Weds 10am-12 noon has stopped until further notice due to the Corona Virus.

Coffee and Craft Group - Thursday’s

The Coffee and Crafts Group has also stopped for the time being.

Lent Study Book (18th Feb -3rd April)

For Lent (18th Feb -3rd April) the church is invited to study together the book "Enjoying God" by Tim Chester, subtitled "Experiencing the power and love of God in everyday life ". You can see a short video by the author here. Our home groups will be based upon discussion of the material in the book. John Berry says that he has now received the copies of the books on order, but if you missed the original order deadline then you can still contact John on 07505 060727 to see if he can place an order via the bookshop.

If you are not a regular member of a home group, but would like to join one to study the book then please contact Jean Macdonald (Tuesday group) or Steve Ayling (Friday group) and they will supply you with a zoom link and joining details.

Look Lyttelton Well

Although the Bookshop is closed in accordance with Lockdown 3.0, we are still able to process orders via Telephone: 01684 573702 Mon-Fri 10am-4pm or Email.

Churches Together Malvern - National Call To Daily Prayer - All February

Following the recent news that we have passed the terrible mile stone of over 100,000 deaths related to Covid-19, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have called upon the nation to pray and reflect not only on those who have been lost, but also and the social and economic challenges facing the nation. In an open letter they invite us to;

reflect on the enormity of this pandemic….each number is a person: someone we loved and someone who loved us…….We also believe that each of these people was known to God and cherished by God….One thing we can all do is pray. We hope it is some consolation to know that the church prays for the life of our nation every day”.

We are being invited to “pray for the nation” at 6pm every day throughout February.  So in response Churches Together Malvern plan to host a short moment of prayer and coming together on zoom each day at 6pm lead by our different churches in our town.

We invite you and your church families to join us. Zoom details; Link

The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4: 6-7
