Zoom Church

MBC Virtual Service and Prayer Meetings

MBC has gone virtual, (not viral, that’s something quite different) and we are making use of Zoom (for real-time activities) and YouTube (for pre-recorded services). To join our Zoom virtual services, prayer meetings or other virtual activities, you just have to click on the links below (these are live meetings so they only work at the times specified, so don’t be late or too early) .

The links for our live on-line zoom meetings are:

Sunday Morning Service 10:30 AM live from MBC and on Zoom-link

After-Church Coffee Sunday 11:15 AM Zoom-link

Monday Prayer Meetings   8.45am  Zoom-link

Wednesday Prayer Meetings  7.30pm  Zoom-link

All services will be live on Zoom and also available recorded on YouTube.

First Time on Zoom?

The links above open a tab in your web-browser which then starts the Zoom App and takes you to the meeting. You can close the browser tab as soon as the App starts. When the service starts mute your sound (you can also turn off your video) so you can watch in private. Select the ‘Speaker View’ at the top of your screen and minimise the ‘Gallery’ so you only see the minister’s video presentation.

If you haven’t used Zoom before, the first time it will ask you to download the Zoom App to your smart-phone, tablet or computer (desktop or laptop). The App is quite safe and next time will start automatically and invite you to join the meeting. There are some settings to configure, if confused ask a small child to set it up for you.

Zoom by Phone

If you don't have a tablet, laptop or smartphone, but just a normal dial up phone, then you can connect to our zoom meetings by phone with the following procedure.

This will connect you to the meeting.  This is a London number so it will cost you whatever you pay for a national call (on many phone plans national calls are free for the first 60 mins).

The Zoom Application is being updated 30th May

Beginning May 30th,  Zoom will be enabling GCM encryption, providing increased protection for all meetings. Please begin manually  updating your current Zoom application to Zoom 5.0 using this link. When the page opens look for “Zoom Client for Meetings” and click on ‘Download’.

After May 30 all Zoom clients on older versions will receive a forced upgrade when trying to join meetings as GCM Encryption will be fully enabled across Zoom. This means that if you haven’t already updated by 1st June, you will have to wait untill the automatic updates completes before you can join our Sunday morning service. You can update before the 30th May without it causing any issues.

If you are dialling in by phone you don’t need to do anything.
